1st International Mukânda Gathering in Brazil
Centrality of Food Culture & Resistance
July 30 to August 2, 2026 | Kilombo Tenondé, Bahia
This year, Kilombo Tenondé will host the first International Mukânda Gathering in Brazil — continuing the journey started in Europe. We will highlight the centrality of Food Culture in territories and the importance of food production as a practice of resistance, identity, and belonging.
Four days of deep immersion, with movement and musicality classes, conversations, and Capoeira Angola rodas, celebrating the values, identity, and foundations legacy left by Mestre Pastinha.
